Tap @ 2007 Strong Ale Fest. Poured a hazy copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was hop forward with piny and sweaty notes. The flavor was a mix of hops and caramel malt. The hops were strong but smooth. Semi-dry finish.

hazy copper, fine beige head, drippy lace, sweet crystal malt aroma with lots of fruity orange and tangerine, creamy velvet body, rich malt flavor, lots of the fruity citrus character, light balancing bitterness stays out of the way of the hop flavor, all about the hop flavor and the velvet body delivers it very well,

PP SAF 2007. Burnt orange with a thin head. Not a big hoppy aroma. Some light citrus and pine and some toasted caramel malt. It is funky bitter in flavor with a nice toasty finish. Has a coaty thick mouthfeel.

Tap at the Vista location: Slightly hazy amber with a small head but good lace. The aroma has notes of resiny pine, clove, grapefruit, apricot, caramel and bready malt. The taste profile displays a bitter and fruity overtone with a biscuity base. A dry metallic and lightly spicy finish. The mouth feel is sprite and aggressive, warming after a while. A nice drinkable brew. Worth a try.
