Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 15, 2008 Hazy and golden. Mostly saaz and light diacetyl in the nose. Warming diacetyl on the palate. There’s a lot of saaz, medium bitterness for style, and fairly full-bodied malts. My misgivings are the diacetyl (acceptable in the style, but not to this high an amount IMO), and the lack of voluptuousness in the malts (they get a bit doughy).
thedradle (9), , California, USA does not count Sep 25, 2008 One of my favorite pilsners, clean and crisp, how that style should taste! doubleo (842), San Diego, California, USA Sep 19, 2008 On-tap at Vista location. Pours pale yellow with a moderate size white head, spider web lace. Smells sweet, crisp and light malty. Tastes sweet and bright malty with some nice green hops. Tasty for a light ass yellow brew. Thin body, good carbonation. Dogbrick (2266), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 5, 2008 This cleverly named Pils pours a clear dark golden color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Spicy Saaz hops aroma. Light-bodied and moderately hoppy with some malt backbone, as well as some spices. The finish is hoppy with a lingering hops aftertaste. Average overall. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 25, 2008 Tap @ Vista location. Poured a clear gold color with a white head. Sulfur and corn notes mix into the malt on the aroma. Sulfur and light malt make up the flavor. Bitter finish.
