Clear golden coloured crisp on the palate and hoppy. Slightly creamy with some bitterness in the finish. thedradle (9), , California, USA does not count Sep 25, 2008 One of my favorite pilsners, clean and crisp, how that style should taste! doubleo (966), San Diego, California, USA Sep 19, 2008 On-tap at Vista location. Pours pale yellow with a moderate size white head, spider web lace. Smells sweet, crisp and light malty. Tastes sweet and bright malty with some nice green hops. Tasty for a light ass yellow brew. Thin body, good carbonation. Oakes (7030), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 15, 2008 Hazy and golden. Mostly saaz and light diacetyl in the nose. Warming diacetyl on the palate. There’s a lot of saaz, medium bitterness for style, and fairly full-bodied malts. My misgivings are the diacetyl (acceptable in the style, but not to this high an amount IMO), and the lack of voluptuousness in the malts (they get a bit doughy). awaisanen (1187), Irvine, California, USA Sep 26, 2006 On tap at the Irvine location. Pours a transparent color of straw with a thin layer of quickly dissipating, soapy white head. Nice, clean aromas of fresh grassy hops and a clean, balanced light maltiness. Light bodied, crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. Lots of grassy hops up front, then fades to some sweet light malts for a balanced, rounded out palate. I find myself mentally comparing this to Prima Pils, but it seems to be even a touch hoppier and maltier than my recollections. Nice, clean, hoppy, refreshing pilsner.
