On tap at the Irvine location. Pours a transparent color of straw with a thin layer of quickly dissipating, soapy white head. Nice, clean aromas of fresh grassy hops and a clean, balanced light maltiness. Light bodied, crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. Lots of grassy hops up front, then fades to some sweet light malts for a balanced, rounded out palate. I find myself mentally comparing this to Prima Pils, but it seems to be even a touch hoppier and maltier than my recollections. Nice, clean, hoppy, refreshing pilsner.

One of my favorite pilsners, clean and crisp, how that style should taste!

On-tap at Vista location. Pours pale yellow with a moderate size white head, spider web lace. Smells sweet, crisp and light malty. Tastes sweet and bright malty with some nice green hops. Tasty for a light ass yellow brew. Thin body, good carbonation.

Hazy and golden. Mostly saaz and light diacetyl in the nose. Warming diacetyl on the palate. There’s a lot of saaz, medium bitterness for style, and fairly full-bodied malts. My misgivings are the diacetyl (acceptable in the style, but not to this high an amount IMO), and the lack of voluptuousness in the malts (they get a bit doughy).

On tap at Vista location. Color was a clear, pale gold. Aroma of toasted bread with an earthy hop finish. Flavor of bread, light fruit, earth, with a slight hint of BO. Hopped nicely. Solid beer.

On tap at the Pizza Port Session Ale fest. Listed as the Irvine Jagged Little Pils. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma is grassy and bready, sweet with herbal, Saaz hops, Tons of them. Taste is clean with grass, saaz, a bit earthy and nearly some leather. No complaints here. Light bubbles, dry.

The beer pours to a golden body with a white head and decent lacing. The aroma is light. Spicy saaz hops, crystal malts. The flavor is pretty basic with saaz and crystal malt. Clean. The palate is actually pretty substantial. Medium bodied, bitter.
