Pours a transparent color of straw with a thin layer of quickly dissipating, soapy white head. Nice, clean aromas of fresh grassy hops and a clean, balanced light maltiness. Light bodied, crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. Lots of grassy hops up front, then fades to some sweet light malts for a balanced, rounded out palate. I find myself mentally comparing this to Prima Pils, but it seems to be even a touch hoppier and maltier than my recollections. Nice, clean, hoppy, refreshing pilsner. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2008 Hazy and golden. Mostly saaz and light diacetyl in the nose. Warming diacetyl on the palate. There’s a lot of saaz, medium bitterness for style, and fairly full-bodied malts. My misgivings are the diacetyl (acceptable in the style, but not to this high an amount IMO), and the lack of voluptuousness in the malts (they get a bit doughy). alexanderj (2263), Chino Hills, California, USA

Spicy saaz hops, crystal malts. The flavor is pretty basic with saaz and crystal malt. Clean. The palate is actually pretty substantial. Medium bodied, bitter.
