Aug 24, 2009 Tap at Stone 13th Anniversary Celebration. This pours a hazy light copper. Nose is yeasty malt. Flavors follow with the Belgium yeast with a good malt backing. Mouth is nicely creamy. Decent but not my style.

Feb 13, 2009 On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours a fairly dark amber with off-white head. Raisins, sweet dark fruit, malt, bubble gum, figs, and a small amount of bitterness. Pretty good if your in the mood for a sweet brew.

Mar 25, 2007 one of my faves of the strong ale fest this year. i have a little star beside the name on the list so i remembered to get it again. some earthy flavors with a little spice, some white pepper and anise, with a little sour cherry and some raisin and some apple.

Feb 7, 2007 10th Annual SD Strong Ale Fest: Poured a mildly hazy copper with with a small off-white head. the aroma was mildly tart and yeasty with a hint of leather. Fruity underneath. The malty flavor had a fair amount of fruity character to it. Dark fruits and some tartness. Sweet but light finish. Light bodied.
