This beer has a great color...dark cherry. hint of chocolate aroma with a semi dry aftertaste. coffee notes with alcohol finish.

Dark copper red with creamy white head. Sweet caramel, roasty, and alcolo aroma and taste with a clean finish.

<i>On tap at the Irvine location.</i> Deep brown, root beer colored pour, lightly transparent, and topped with a thin layer of cream head. Rich, malty aroma of dark caramel, pecan skins, and brown sugar. Thick, full bodied, sticky mouthfeel. My first impression is that its underattenuated some, but that opinion keeps on growing and getting more reinforced as I reach the bottom of my 16oz glass. Most of the malt flavors are clean and rich, but too brown sugary sweet for my tastes. Very caramelly flavors with some deep, dark raisiny notes without crossing the line into the realm of toasty. Nice flavors overall, the the amount of residual sugar left in this one detracts greatly from the drinkability.
