On tap at the 10th Annual San Diego Strong Ale Festival: Clear copper orange pour has a frothy, spotty-lacing tan head. Toasty, grainy pale German malty aroma has good authenticity. Body starts semi-sweet, full-bodied and slightly tart with some light fruity notes turning more grainy and dry toward the finish. Fairly true to style, but could lose some of its tartness.

10th Annual SD Strong Ale Fest: Poured a clear deep amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was sweet with light raisins and some caramel. Fruity caramel flavor with a tart finish. Moderately bitter finish.
