Growler fill from AC at BS Vista. Pours a brownish hue with foxy amber highlights, creamy tan head with nice retention. Aroma is very maltly and sweet, with an almost baked apple pie characteristic. Taste is rich and toasty with dark malts and a creamy caramel backing, the pecans fill in beautifully on the back end, also there’s touches of molasses. The flavor had hints of brown sugar, toffee, and even raisins. This would be an excellent beer to pair with rich chocolates, pecan pie, or a deluxe pot roast dinner. Yet another excellent brew from a true craftsman.

Nov 19, 2008 Had at San Diego Brewers Guild Festival 2008. Pours brown. I like the roasted pecan flavors. Some caramel too. Almost a pecan pie.
