SDbruboy (1809), San Diego, California, USA May 4, 2008 On draft at SD BrewCo, during CDC week. Arrives a golden amber color, mostly clear with a small head and spotty lace. Aroma of toasty malts, some diacetyl butteriness, mingled with floral and citrus hops. Flavor again features the toasty malts, along with herbal and floral hops, orange peel combined in a brash and assertive way. Medium body, and quite prickly carbonation.
JorisPPattyn (4246), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 22, 2008 Draught. Marks for Appearance are an average, as beer was sampled in weak artificial light after dark. Leafy, near grassy hops, and a background of sweet pastry. Excellent balance sweet-hoppy. Rosewater flavour, cactusfig and rioting grapey hops. Medium to well bodied, slick. Excellent balance, seldom achieved, let alone in a W.C. IPA.
