Draft. An amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and grass. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and grass, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Tap @ Stone Bistro during RBSG 2008. Hazy gold color with an off-white head. Clove and banana aroma. Sweet malt flavor with spice and other Belgian yeasty phenols. Toast and butter taste, but not really diacetyl butter.

Pours lightly hazy orange gold, with a small off white head. Smells very syrupy and malty, lots of dark fruit and caramel combined. The mouthfeel is also quite syrupy and oily. Huge malt presence and molasses just drown out anything else that might try to play along. Light bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Decent, but maybe a touch overdoing it with the malts.

On tap at Stone. Poured clear brighter golden with a short, fizzy cap of white head. The aroma picked up deeper pale malts and something akin to corn with light, airy floral notes surrounding.. I could feel the warmth. The flavor was similar.. honey, pale malt, and corn sweetness at the base with spicy floral notes amplified by alcohol on the edges.. a bit hot again. Thicker-bodied on the palate and warm with some solid spice to it.. felt a bit too close to malt likka for me.
