On tap at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on 08/03/2008 on day three of RBSG 2008. Clear caramel body with a small fizzy white head. Caramel and dry spice aroma. Spicy belgian flavor with some dry caramel. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

Pours lightly hazy orange gold, with a small off white head. Smells very syrupy and malty, lots of dark fruit and caramel combined. The mouthfeel is also quite syrupy and oily. Huge malt presence and molasses just drown out anything else that might try to play along. Light bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Decent, but maybe a touch overdoing it with the malts.

From tap at Stone Bistro. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Aroma is orange fruity and mild spiced. Smooth caramel and mildly spiced initial flavour. Lingering smooth spiced and caramel malt into the finish.

On tap at Stone. Poured clear brighter golden with a short, fizzy cap of white head. The aroma picked up deeper pale malts and something akin to corn with light, airy floral notes surrounding.. I could feel the warmth. The flavor was similar.. honey, pale malt, and corn sweetness at the base with spicy floral notes amplified by alcohol on the edges.. a bit hot again. Thicker-bodied on the palate and warm with some solid spice to it.. felt a bit too close to malt likka for me.
