May 22, 2008 Draft @ the brewery. Poured in dark amber with an off white head. The aroma was malty grains and cereals with some smokiness. The flavor was more of the same, smoke being the star of this show. Malty very little hop, some honey, pretty mild. Decent smoked scotch ale.

May 14, 2008 odd looking, that’s not to say bad, but odd. very red like, not red, but red like. the nose is not kind. i’m not sure if it was a dirty glass or if someone vomitted smoke around here recently, but it is far from pleasant. surprising flavor after the wiff of dread. smoked honey notes lifted the fear the fear from the aroma. a nice smoke beer. liquid smoke and sweet pork leave a very good taste in my mouth.
