Beth101 (28), West Yorkshire, England Jul 6, 2008 Amber colour with a white head that rapidly disappeared. Fruity ginger/hops smell. Very sweet smelling with a sweet taste. Smooth with a spicy aftertaste. Can taste the ginger coming through. bhensonb (2687), Woodland, California, USA May 23, 2008 500 ml. bottle. Definite ginger aroma. Medium dull copper color with a fizzy white head. Warm gingery bite over biscuit or light caramel. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Finish is fairly dry, and becomes zesty as the ginger clarifies, and builds in the mouth. Good for drinking, and also for washing down ginger cookies. davidpl (385), Santiago, Chile May 18, 2008 Appearance: amber color and vividly bubbles. Medium head with ivory color, low density and not lasting.
Aroma: sweet aromas from malts and ginger. Aromatic reminiscences of dark sugar, honey and chamomile.
Flavor: excessive sweetness and similar to the aroma; notes of caramel malts and ginger. Reminiscences of honey, tea and chamomile. Ginger aftertaste.
Palate: light to medium body and carbonation.
Remark: unbalanced beer, to much sweetness and ginger touch. Mediocre.
yespr (5404), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 12, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a slowly collapsing white head. Spiced aroma of - ginger....why?
Flavour is initially sweet and somehow that suites the ginger well - nicely balanced yet with a distinct ginger bite/sharpness into the far finish with a light perfumery feel. Very unusual yet by far the best ginger spiced beer I’ve had.
