A deep amber colour with a small off-white head. Slightly fruity with a hoppy aroma. Quite refreshing!

Cask. .So what do we have here a big white head and plenty of dark colours with a rather bittish taste, indeed the taste is a little tiresome after a few sips but perhaps it is ok a little dry for me in reality.

Cask at The Amberwood (Hall & Woodhouse), Walkford. I found this to be a slight improvement over the bottled version, but then it just could have been the good company that made it seem better. Colour is deep amber and has a small white head. Hoppy aroma, with malts. I found the cask taste to be crisper than the bottle. A refreshing beer to enjoy with the last of the summer sun. That said, I should not get too carried away because it rates as an average beer..

Cask (Ship and Shovell,London) - Copper brown in colour. Fruity aroma with a hint of fruit cake. Rich and fruity taste with moderate bitterness. Drinkable but could have more flavour.

That Hall and Woodhouse pub in Horsham town centre. Headless medicinal bitterness, blue Allsorts, vaguely blackcurranty fruit, peanutty afters. Dark dirty amber. Quite nasty and astringent, and nothing like its bottled counterpart.

Cask at the Peacock Farm, Bracknell. Reddish brown with a thin white head; fruity malt aroma; rather boring fruity malt flavour, with some bitterness to finish.
