500ml clear bottle. Body is clear golden-brown with a thin off white head that provides a scant soapy lace. The nose is caramel malts, oranges and gentle floral hops. Tongue is medium sweet malts with a mild floral hop bitter finish. The palate is light bodied with a watery mouthfeel and low carbonation. It is certainly no blockbuster of flavours but easy pleasant drinking for a session. If it were cheaper in these parts I would probably grab a few more.

500ml bottle. Dark gold amber colour with a soft white foam head that quickly collapses. Hop aroma with underlying hints of oranges and mandarin with a bitter finish that sits well in the mouth. Nice flavour and a good session beer, I can see why the ferrets would like it.

50cl clear glass bottle, as shown. Deep golden colour, big soapy off-white head. Aroma of malt and hops, little fruit. When drunk very cold (it’s a lager-style beer), the taste is disappointing: faint malts, a wee touch of fruit, not much else. At 10-12°, oranges are more prominent on the palate, and the finish is somewhat better, though still lager-like sweet. Faintly bitter aftertaste. At any rate, it’s not "full of character" as promised on the bottle. Rather, it’s a blandish blond beer, not a real English bitter.

Smells of alcohol, hops, corn starch, honestly just smells like an average lager. Looks okay, nothing exciting. Has a nice smooth taste and nice mouthfeel, but very uncomplex with just some malt notes and a slightly dry finish. Pretty average, really.

No real aroma to speak of. Golden brown colour was not particularly appealing. Nice sweet taste but too dry. Would probably go well as a shandy.

From the Bottle at Chris O’s, GBBF Week 09/08/2008 Floral and hop aromas. Golden coloured hoppy and a little sweet on the palate with a little dryness in a crisp full malt finish.
