Bottled@Chris O Post GBBF Tasting. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is harsh grassy hops along with some fruityness. Flavour is grass, sweet harsh hops and some malts.

Dec 1, 2008 Bottle. Pale amber with next to no head. Aroma of caramel and a touch of grassy hops. Sweet flavour with some marmalade and an abrupt finish. Forgettable.

Oct 21, 2008 Golden colour, almost no head. Aroma of caramel malts and some nuts. Flavour has caramel malts, maybe some whiskey malts. Not special.

Sep 9, 2008 Bottle, 4.4%. Clear dark golden colour. Weak caramelly flavour, hint of aroma hop.

Sep 6, 2008 Bottle 500ml, part of a Badger Sett from Asda, Bournemouth. Pours a clear golden brown with small off white head. I’ve had two, one at room temperature and the other cool. Cool is definately best. At room temperature, I got an aroma of wet straw, whereas the aroma was more orangey when cool. The room temp taste was orange, with a pithy bitterness but with asweetness coming through. The cool one was altogether crisper but the bitterness had subsided. Bottom line is that this ale is better served cool but it can only be described as average at best.
