Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Seeking out the treasures of the countryside and making the most of local ingredients is an art shared by Badger and the wily poacher. Badger's Poacher's Choice captures unique rural flavours in a smooth, dark ale enhanced by a touch of liquorice for spicy sweetness and damson for a soft, subtly fruity taste. A gutsy ale that's worth tracking down.

Bottled. Crimson coloured beer, pours with a fine, lacy white head. Musky, field berry arouma. Sweat with toffee’d finish. Slightly too sweat for my liking.

Bottle. A ruddy amber colour with a medium, frothy but short off-white head. Lots of blackcurrent and blueberry on the nose, some spice and pepper. It’s pretty sweet, more berries, some dried fruit. Pasteurised mouthfeel, mild carbonation, faux-fruit sweet finish. Yup, this is a Badger.

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich berries, caramel, syrop, malt and hops. A little on the sweet side.

Bottle. Pours brownish amber with a beige head that lasts a little while. Aroma has notes of malt, dark fruit, cherry and chocolate. Flavour is similar to the aroma with caramel, malt, berries, and dark fruits. Very smooth mouthfeel, alcohol well hidden and a lingering fruity, sweet finish. Quite good beer, very easy drinking, but couldn’t drink many in a row.

Really enjoyed this. Almost drinks like a lighter weight bock to my simple palate. Lots of fresh fruit, sweet mineral-like lolly flavours. A touch of spice as well. Deadly smooth and dead easy to suck down. No bitterness or hop impact to speak of.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Slightly roasted malty caramel flavor with some hints of licorice and some hints of hops. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish.

Yes, there is just a little bit of fruits and malts in the nose but not nearly enough to call it an aromatic beer. Looks all right though, nice brown colour and thick head. The fruit definitely comes through in the taste, lots of grapes and cherry flavours, slight malty and hoppy hints and a dry finish. A good rendition of a "fruity" beer.

Strong summer fruit aroma. Mahogany with little head. Flavour is very fruity, almost like a summer fruit cordial, very slight hoppy tang, no malt whatsoever. Medium body. Finishes unpleasantly sour. If this is the UK’s answer to kriek, better try again, guys!
