MartinT (4377), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 27, 2007 My Bottom Line:
This solid Pilsener shines with its spicy, grassy hops which grow through a honeyed maltiness. A spicy, almost tea-like hop bitterness lingers in this, yet another well-endowed Baeren mouthfeel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the deep cidery golden.
-Lots of herbal hops join the fruity orange pulp leanings.
-Effervescence is smooth and perfect for the maltiness chosen; this must be heaven on tap.
-The understated nose is not as satisfying as the rest of the beer; I even get wet tofu?
-Baeren is a very solid brewery!

Medium bodied with crisp dryness and gently soft mouthfeel. Plenty of grassy hops to accomapny the lovely maltiness makes this a top pilsener. Finishes with lingering pleasant bitterness. DarkMagus (412), San Jose, California, USA Dec 29, 2006 Light straw-colored brew with a rapidly dissipating white head. Sweet, light aroma of malts, hops, and some grassiness. Similarly sweet-and-hoppy flavors with bit of grassiness or floral character. A bit watery. Not very special, but not too bad. IslandHaole (1030), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan Mar 2, 2006 Just a touch of cloudiness in this deep golden colored brew, quickly disapearing white head. Scent of a damp bail of hay with a few clover blossoms tossed in. A bit watery, rather plain typical pils flavor but the crisp dry finish and slight bitterness in the aftertaste are nice indeed. Another "would be better on a hot day" beers. Not being a huge Pilsner fan, this is my least favorite offering from this excellent Brewery. yeeeeeeeees (5), Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan does not count Sep 11, 2005 Hazy, golden brown colour with glass-clinging minimal head. Insipid fragrance that has a possible distant hop presence if you sniff it ten times. The taste is more akin to a fizzy English bitter. Potent mid-life astringency flows right through to the back and grates quite potently on your tonsils. Balance is missing badly here. The aftertaste is rather savoury in the mouthfeel and this is a redeeming feature.
