| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2004 draught at brewtopia - I quite liked this one - amber/brown in color, not much head - bready aroma, with moderate hops and some spice and herbal notes - same with the flavor - quite a malty IPA, but the sweetness is balanced well with the hops and biscuit/bread-like aspects of this ale (they’re not kidding when the say "well bread beer") - I thought this was a pretty classic IPA. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 10, 2004 Fairly malty IPA is quite pleasant, but despite the obvious marketing gimmick, the influence from bagels is practically non-existent; Flavorful, but generic maltiness is balanced by a moderately bitter hops; Orange in color and slightly cloudy; Mildly hoppy nose also has a slight chocolate aroma in the background; Bubbly, off white head has good retention and significant lacing MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Dec 22, 2003 Someone intended to make a beer brewed with everything bagels, instead of an actually good beer. It shows, frankly. Light orange, slightly grayish head. Nose unremarkable. Flavor mildly hoppy, no sweetness or much in the malts. Might have been slightly skunked, but don't think it really matters. Maybe it's the psychological fact of knowing that this was made with everything bagels, but I swear I can taste that salty/garlicky/poppy seed sort of flavor you get in an everything bagel. Just not that thrilling. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 20, 2003 This is apparently made wth real bagel in it, and it is breadier than any beer I can think of in recent memory; big bread and salt and cascade aromas waft up from the glass. This is a medium-bodied brew that is pretty balanced; hop bitterness could be great (or malt sweetness for that matter) but all in all a good purchase.
