Very easy to drink. good blend of the light low bitterness hops with malt that is not sweet or bready. nothing jumps out as special here but it is worth the time. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2004 Light, yet clumpy white head with bubbly lacing. Light golden pour with a little bit of bubble action. Cheap clip-art looking label. Fresh, fruity aroma, slight whiff of nectarines. Full-bodied flavor with some sweet honey notes in the background. Slight taste of white grapes as well. Stays strong throughout the 22 oz bomber. Like the other "bagel" beers by this brewer I can’t detect any bagel flavor. Overall decent for a beer found in a health food store. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2002 It’s a pretty decent beer as far as pilseners go. I tried but did not notice the bagel in it, maybe a little on the finish but otherwise a standard beer. beerguy101 (3972), Newark, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2002 Medium gold color, medium head. Medium bodied, pilsner-style ale, made with bagels. Mild malts and hops. Mild flavor. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Allright beer, despite the gimmick of “A little bagel in every beer”. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Feb 18, 2007 Purchased at Cock and Bull Pub in Sarasota about 9 months ago, drank a few days later. It was past date for sure, but held up surprisingly well for a pilsner. Clear gold with a small off white head. Grainy, bready, earthy, a little bit of skunk. Noticed some definite bagel, actually. Balanced, light body, easy drinking. Aurelius (2655), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2004 Grainy-malty aroma. Lousy label on the 22 oz bomber. Toasted malt, red lager with some syrupy notes, not hoppy. I wouldn’t have categorized this as a pils at all -- more an American dark or a red lager. Medium body, with a somewhat unpleasant cling. Patchouli smell to the bottle. jazz88 (2239), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 17, 2003 Bottle. Golden color with a foamy off-white head. A bread and dough aroma with a light malt. Medium body, dry, bread, not good. A bagel in the beer is a mistake.
