Black with a tan head. The nose is malty with just a hint of smoke and (vanillia??). The taste is slippery and soft with smoke and malts. Just your average porter.

Draft... Brewtopia 2004... Pours pitch black... can’t get any light to penetrate in this setting. Mid-sized, creamy, well-tanned head. Decent lacing. The nose is of espresso and chocolate. Well-balanced flavor with notes of coffee, chocolate and light buttermilk. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, chocolaty, bitter finish.

draught at brewtopia - nearly opaque, decent lacework - roasty aroma - quite dry and bitter for a porter - I may have enjoyed it more if the bitterness were balanced out more with some other characteristics.

Very dark brown color with tons of tiny specks of yeast floating around. Very roasty coffee and bread aroma. Nice roasted coffee, bread, and malt flavors. Great feel! Very thick and creamy with perfect carbonation. Very good!

Deep, dark brown with tons of tiny specks of yeast (?) floating throughout the entire height of the glass...creamy tan head. The aroma and flavor were not all that strong...some nice roasted, toasted, and chocolate tones. Great medium-thick, creamy feel. Much much much better than I expected.

Pours a nice darkness, nearly opaque, with a thick off-white head. Aroma is mild and roasty with a touch of coffee. Smooth semi-sweet and milk chocolatey body exhibits a nice balance and great drinkability. A very enjoyable porter.

Bottle pours black with a frothy tannish head, good lacing too.   Aroma of roasted malts, light chocolate and coffee.   This almost smells more like a stout than a Porter.   Initial taste appears more stoutish too.   Roasted malts, slight coffee up front.   As it finishes a bit more hop presense makes an appearance.   As it warms the chocolate becomes more evident.   I actually enjoyed this one.   Thanks goes out to BierBauch for the trade!
