Bragesnak (1094), Aarhus, Denmark May 3, 2008 From Chas. E., Aarhus, DK.
Bottled.
Infected and together with the dryness of far too much roasted barley this is horrible
Blom (593), Odense, Denmark Mar 17, 2008 Black celebration is one ofmy favourite Depeche Mode album, so when I tasted this beer back in 2005 I expected something dark and glamorous gothic. But it didn’t make the cut. Although it was indeed black it had an almost citric-sour feeling to it, that almost blocked the flavours of coffe, dark chocolate and a little wood. A bad tasting experience.
saxo (2103), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Jan 31, 2008 Bottle. Nice tan head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice and coffee. BeerBiker (1100), Odense, Denmark Sep 18, 2007 [Sampled in 2005 to Copenhagen Jazzfestival at Nørrebro with Rene listening to Trio Chroch version # .] A Depeche Mode porter on tap, quite good with notes of freshness and with a high drinkability. Maybe not true to its style, but I swallowed it rather fast. Enjoyit (1080), Vadum, Denmark Aug 4, 2007 Black of color with a brown head. A nice aroma of roasted malt, coffee and notes of smoke. A flavor of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, notes of smoke and liqurice. Bitter finish.
