Commercial Description:
This Amber Wheat Beer brewed with natural chocolate is perfectly balanced, finishes dry instead of cloyingly sweet, has beautiful lace, and enough effervescence to keep things interesting.

Pours a hazy root beer brown with a small off-white head that falls to a thin cap. This beer smells pretty much like a Tootsie Roll with a light (and detracting) vegetal note (DMS?) note thrown into the mix. Light-bodied and thin with soft carbonation and a drying, astringent finish. The flavor follows the nose with less chocolate and more vegetable soup. "OK" is a generous descriptor for this beer. What exactly they are going for here is a bit of a mystery.

12oz bottle. Pours a brown-ruby body with a thin, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is Tootsie Roll chocolate malts and a touch of dark fruits and lemon. Flavor is more of that artificial Tootsie Roll chocolate taste and a weird sour fruit. A bit of a funky, bready yeast as well. Finishes dry with a stale aftertaste. Light bodied and slightly over-carbonated. Overall, no. Not doing it for me. Cool idea, but no.

Pours a cloudy orange-brown with a thin off white head that quickly disappears. Aroma is chocolate. Flavor is much the same with a little bit of toast in the finish.

I must admit, I have an extreme aversion to anything that tastes like chocolate that isn’t cocoa mass. Just to get that out there. Pours orange/tan with a medium head. Aroma is Tootsie Roll and very sweet, mild lemony notes blend. Flavor is much better than aroma, good caramel amlts blend with toast, milk chocolate, and maintain a fairly dry profile throughout. Lingering chocolate notes and a mild coffee note on the end. Not my thing, but my wife loves this.

A murky caramel brown colored beer with a small head that lived hard and died fast. Aroma is distinctive powdered chocolate with dark fruit and yeast. Chocolate dominates the flavor. This one reminds me of the Yoohoo cola drink that is a chocolate soda. Just a bit of effervescence lights up the tongue. The Chocolate Bar is a first class place but this beer does not live up to those standards. I was disappointed by it.

Bottle. Poured a brown color with a little head. Aroma was all chocolate and malts. Flavor was all chocolate. If you love chocolate you’ll love this. Very sweet and medium body. An ok beer.

Bottle. It smelled strongly of bittersweet chocolate. The taste was the same. There was no hop flavor whatsoever, I really don’t think that there were any in the drink. Taste was too simple and seemed like I was drinking a watered down chocolate syrup. Do not recommend.

Pour is a hazy brown with a large white head. Aroma is all things chocolate. Its almost like pouring Hershey syurp into your glass. Flavor is chocolate with some biscuit malts following. Finsh is dry and thank god not cloyingly sweet. I liked this better than i thought considering i hated the cherry chocolate but one in a evening is plenty.
