Pours cloudy amber, disappearing head, with yeasty nose showing lemon and cider notes, some grainy malt in the nose. Well-rounded flavor shows more of the caramel aroma with still that citrus and cider, meanwhile there’s a nice, dry bitterness and lively mouthfeel. Some graininess in there, and spicy in a yeasty way. Great balance. Refreshing, interesting. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2007 Bottle. Bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk. Pours a hazy and very golden orange, big off white whipped egg-white head. Aroma is fruity malty, some grapes, oranges and a good dose of spices, mostly ginger. Light and slightly watery mouthfeel, though it has a oiliness to it as well. Flavour is primarily spicy, mixed with some caramel fruityness. This is a Saison, not a Bière de Garde. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Bottle purchased at La Cave à Bulles in Paris. Poured a cloudy orange color. Head was white and fleeting. Smelled of wet stone, white wine, graham, and toffee. Very smooth mouth feel with mellow flavors relative to the Southampton Deluxe Saison I tried at the same time as this one. Light fleshy fruit, a bit of yeasty bread dough, and a touch of spice rounded out the flavors. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The aroma was sweet with cherries and notes of cinnamon. The taste was funky pears with some light cinnamon spice. The body is lightly carbonated. This is interesting and subtle. ante (2948), Stockholm, Sweden
