Commercial Description:
Angry Boy is a brown ale that doesn't quite fit in; it is bigger, bolder, hoppier and more complex than most. It has, if you will, an angry edge. It is somewhat sweet and very full-bodied in the mouth but piquantly bitter and warming in the finish. If you are feeling angst, this is your brew.

Bottled. Hazy nut brown, rich head. Grapefruity aroma with roasty malt undeneath. Sweet and soft, medium bodied. Lovely chewy malt character accompanied by fresh, perfumy aromatic hops. medium bitterness. A pleasure to drink!

Sampled at the RBSG ‘05 bottle tasting courtesy of TimE: Pours a dark amber with a thin, off-white head. Aroma has a great, sweet, caramel maltiness and a fresh hoppy presence. Body has a smooth semi-sweetness, turning more dry, bitter and thin toward the finish. A very nice, well-hopped brown ale.

Can @ Bulldog Pub, Ginza: Dark brown, nice head and lacing. Nose is bright and up front with the earthy hops, intense malty notes in the flavor. Nice finish, clean. Good.

Hazy medium brown body with a yellowish khaki head. The aroma has sweeet notes of perfumed body powder and dark cherries. The taste has some black tea and roasted cherries. Fairly sweet, it is fairly decently hopped with some grapefruit notes.

(Bottle) Sampled at RBSG 2005 in Montreal, Canada. I’m guessing that this was a present of TimE’s - Thanks? Pours a deep brown body with a full-on grapefruit hoppiness balanced nicely with malt. Very good.
