Nesta13 (188), Australia Dec 31, 2003 OK firstly: this brewery is great! This is my first review but I"ll do more soon.
OK looks FANTASTIC! Medium brown colour with a consistent white head. Has a fantastic fresh hop profile..... this sort of beer is really hard to come by here in japan. All you would want in a beer of this type and more. zappafan99 (332), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jul 25, 2008 7/8 Taste Bottle. Looks: Clear brown with clinging creamy foam. Aroma: A little malt sweetness. Taste: Nice and full flavored. Mild sweetness and chew of the malt. Great spice and kick from the spice/floral hops blend. An even sour. Top notch recipe, underrated. nearbeer (1336), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 25, 2008 355 ml. Translucent chestnut with a garnet tint. Creamy, quarter-inch head frosts the glass all the way down. Citrus, cocoa and molasses aromas also have a hint of evergreen. Big flavors are similar with some additions of coffee, toasted nut, oak, apple and more evergreen resin. Medium body is a little watery, mostly smooth and very roasty-dry. Good beer that seems a hybrid of a coffee porter and a brown, that’s then hopped like a Pale Ale. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden May 26, 2008 Bottled. Hazy nut brown, rich head. Grapefruity aroma with roasty malt undeneath. Sweet and soft, medium bodied. Lovely chewy malt character accompanied by fresh, perfumy aromatic hops. medium bitterness. A pleasure to drink! Suttree (2355), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 29, 2008 Clear coppery brown, Huge beige / tan head. Aroma is rather malty/sweet. At first it seems more like some sort of English Plae or ESB, with a lot of bitterness and not a whole lot of sweet. Definately a unique take on a brown ale. Enjoyable.
