TimE (1031), Tokyo, Japan Aug 7, 2007 Hazy orange-brown color. Malty nose with faint hints of biwa. Light body, some mild biwa notes, but a bit thin and sour. MartinT (4377), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 3, 2007 My Bottom Line:
The spicy, wooden personality of the hops used flow into the loquat’s own intrinsic qualities, ending in a resinous, earthy hop bitterness on which orangey fruitiness leaks wisely. Hoppier than most Baird fruit beers, and definitely as enjoyable.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the hazy pale orange.
-Effervescence is smooth and the body is healthy, providing another classic über-drinkable Baird mouthfeel.
-Caramel maltiness appears within the fruitiness, and balance is reached.
-This one is no different from other Baird fruit beers quality-wise.
On tap at the brewery tap room.
