MartinT (4307), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 2, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Tall noble hop vines pursue their growth through the crisp malts’ levelled cereal sweetness, satisfying from top to bottom in its balanced vessel. It comes as no surprise that Baird’s Pilsener is a smashing quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the clear gold.
-The underlying honeyed sweetness is a great base for the floral, herbal hop bouquet.
-The lingering herbal hop bitterness is truly pleasant.
-This is another Baird beer which is balanced, flavorful, and hugely drinkable.
On tap at Popeye’s. TimE (1016), Tokyo, Japan Sep 29, 2006 Dark golden color. Muted nose, but has some Saaz hops noticable. Smooth mouth, sweet malty start. Well balanced. Hoppiness hits back of the mouth. A moderately bitter finish. Very well put together using an ale yeast. Definetely a new summer fav and it goes great with shrimp tempura.
