Commercial Description:
This quenching brew is crafted in the American west-coast style. It sports a beautiful soft citrus hop aroma which gives way to a round, honeyed-fruit flavor. The finish is crisp and refreshing.

Bottle. A bit of a gusher. Pours hazy apricot with a fluffy pale yellow head. Aroma of citrus and flowers. Medium body, active carbonation. Taste of bread, fruit, citrus, ginger. Pine and just a little soap on the finish.

Sampled on 12/3/2009. This pale ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with nice retention and good lacing. The aroma is fruity, sweet, malty and citrusy. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of peach and apricots. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity, orange and orange rind. Lively carbonation. Interesting, citrusy and bitter, but not necessarily from hop bitterness. Bright yeast flavors as well. Kind of different, its not quite a West Coast Pale Ale, as the hop bitterness is not huge. Yet it has that distinctive West Coast fell to it. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours light hazy golden with a moderate head. Pine and hops on the nose. Moderately sweet and lghtly bitter. Well balanced. Medium bodied. Finishes a bit early with acidity and bitterness on the tongue. (Sampled @ Nakameguro taproom February 2009)

Bottle at Hashigo Zake, the night the shipment arrived from the brewery. Pours hazy golden, good white head. Beautiful grapefruity zesty hop aroma.
Flavour is hoppy, full of that citrusy goodness. Bitterness is refreshing, not too much. Citrus hop finish.
Very nice, refreshing and hoppy.

12 ounce bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop in Durham, NC. Pours a hazy peach color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus and caramel with floral and pine notes. Taste is very bready, with notes of brown sugar, bitter leafy hops, toastiness. Medium bodied. Strongly carbonated. Good beer. I’m finding I like this brewery a lot.

Orange with big, foamy off-white head / Nose of citrus and melon, with a touch of dry hops / Light to medium body, somewhat tart, with good balance and nice, dry finish / Mild, restrained yet elegant flavors of dry hops, orange, grapefruit, melon, and dry hops / Lacks the oomph of American pales, but very pleasant approached on its own terms. I could picture this with sushi.
