Eyedrinkale (3091), Beer Town, New York, USA May 14, 2008 Different looking label then the others but I get green apple in this. Color is cloudy light yellow with a small head. Some honey and mellow sweet malts. Both Baird beers so far are pleasantly subtle.
mkobes (2014), New York, USA May 16, 2008 Bottle. Hazy golden yellow in color with a little head. Honey malty aroma. Apple notes. Malty apple tart flavor. Finish is fruity. Drinkable. Well balanced. Decent beer. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 2, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Fresh apple tartness and lightly honeyed pale maltiness slowly merge into a very drinkable, fruity Golden Ale which satisfies from beginning to end of the sensory experience.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the clear blond.
-The apple fruitiness is minutiously integrated in the crisp maltiness, and never exaggerates.
-Balance is achieved even though the hops are deftly escape the tastebuds.
-This almost drinks like it’s under 4% alcohol!
On tap at the brewery restaurant. TimE (1007), Tokyo, Japan Jul 16, 2007 Cloudy golden color, thick white head. Light appley nose. Med-body, lightly spiced (I guess by the japanese candy sugar) and the apples and tartness really shine through, but it almost makes me think this is a cider. However, the pale malts also show up to give the beer some backbone and ensure it is not a cider. Not sweet at all. If you like cider you will love this. better than I anticipated.
