Ungstrup (11037), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 10, 2007 Bottled. A golden beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty and hoppy, while the flavor is sweet malty with a light touch of caramel. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 22, 2005 Updated: Apr 2, 2007Bottled (my 5000th rating at Ratebeer) Bakalar 10° is still my highest rated Czech beer on my own page, even though the old brewery closed down long ago, and I have the old Pivovar Rakovnik poster still on my wall. So it was a delight to find the beers from the re-opened Pivovar Rakovnik at Pivnie Galeri in Prague.</br>
It poured deep golden with rich head and a spicy, somewhat metallic aroma. It was dry with dense, soft malt character, low on diacetyl. Rather bitter finish. It was probably more technically correct than the version from the old brewery, but also with much less character. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 8, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Hildigöltur. Slightly hazy, deep golden with a handsome, off-white head. Clean, sweetish malt aroma. Medium-bodied, sweetish, clean malts with a fairly hoppy finish. 070907 yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 9, 2007 Pours orange with a lacing head. Grassy to grainy aroma, slight sweet.
