Apr 13, 2009 Bottle: Clear golden with a creamy white head. Sweet, lightly buttery (not diacetyl) aroma with some mercaptan (green bottle) and grass. Light bodied. Flavor is light, grassy, some corn notes mesh with sweet pale malt and mild grassy bitterness. Vague and not dry nor crisp enough for the style. Very macro feeling.

Mar 31, 2009 From a 500ml green bottle. Pours clear pale amber with a one inch white head. Some short lived lacings. Aroma is skunky hops. Taste is very light bitter hops with a somewhat sweet malt backing. No date on the bottle. The label says it uses Zhatezki hops. A bit light on the palate and the carbonation was just enough. A medium dry finish. Very easy drinking Pils.

Mar 29, 2009 17 oz bottle. Some saaz veggie aroma when the lid is popped. Looks like Pale american lager but it sparkles nicely. Typical pilsner flavor with that slight acrid bite in there. Good carbonation. Perhaps a little wary at times. On the finish, leaves a lingering sharp, mildly soapy, pilsner linger for a while in yer mouth.

Mar 4, 2009 This is an itimidating beer to look at; tall and foaming. I like it, it SEEMS eastern european. Cereals to the fore in both the aroma and the immediate taste with very slight hops and a delicious oily slickness. Tight and clean, darned quaffable. The hops develop the more you drink. Yum.

Dec 31, 2008 Bottle. Mostly what you’d expect from a green bottled Czech lager, though it has a thin-medium body (instead of just thin) and was slightly sweeter and less grassy than expected. On the downside it doesn’t offer the same crisp sharpness that most of these beers are good for.
