I do like Czech beers and even though they are not all top notch this included they are often a step or two above the usual fare. Nice hoppiness to this that clings right to the finish, sweet malts are there but they’re trampled over by those hops and that drying finish, very nice. Low sweet malt in the nose with a touch of starchiness and a distant floral hop note. Pleasant hoppy bitterness and low grain in the mouth, lingering bitterness and a slight citrusy fruitiness in the finish.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Clean-cut, pleasantly coniferous pils with solid hop bitterness, a dab of single malt grain and freshbread afters. Aroma of noble hop woodiness and honey. Slick m/f with flecks of lace. Pretty well-constructed Czech pils, with no off notes but nothing to quicken the pulse.
