Bottle from Morrisons, Banbury, Oxon, consumed 13-04-08 Warm gold with busy white head. I do like Czech beers and even though they are not all top notch this included they are often a step or two above the usual fare. Nice hoppiness to this that clings right to the finish, sweet malts are there but they’re trampled over by those hops and that drying finish, very nice.

Bottle from morrisons. Aroma is typically czach hop, sweetish lager notes. Taste is similar well balanced a thought with a good hoppy finish. Quite a nice drinkable lager.

50cl bottle from Morrisons, Derby. Amber with a thick loose white head; sweet floral hop aroma; strong hoppy taste with some honey and also a plasticy edge, very different! Dry hop finish.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pale gold, lasting beige head. Oh dear, a rather poor lager. Some wet cardboard and Saazy type hop. Bit of rubber/plastic. Bit soapy. Poor.

I picked this one up from Morrison’s. A typical Czezh lager really. Fairly sweet and a bit of hops - quite drinkable, but nothing special.

Bottle, from Morrisons, Grimsby. Gold, thin white head and gentle condition. Low sweet malt in the nose with a touch of starchiness and a distant floral hop note. Pleasant hoppy bitterness and low grain in the mouth, lingering bitterness and a slight citrusy fruitiness in the finish.

Clean-cut, pleasantly coniferous pils with solid hop bitterness, a dab of single malt grain and freshbread afters. Aroma of noble hop woodiness and honey. Slick m/f with flecks of lace. Pretty well-constructed Czech pils, with no off notes but nothing to quicken the pulse.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is very malty and yeasty and the flavour is yeasty with a bitter finish. Overall a very average sweet European lager with a bitter finish.
