500ml bottle. pours clear golden-copper with white head. nose is a bit skunky (green bottle) and hay. flavor is a bit skunky but the hops quickly take that away, dms, saaz leathery spiced hops. could have been decent-good if it wasn’t skunked.

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are hazelnut with woody notes and some sulphur. Lightly spicy earthy hops, too. Flavours are fudge malts with pear. Quite sweet with a dry finish.

Pale gold, thin head that died very quickly. Slightly floral aroma, palate is thin and lacking in body, little flavour too! Part of a lagers of the world gift pack I got for Xmas.

Golden liquid with a quickly diminished white head. Heavy toasted malt aromas, with a hint of grain and rust. There is something about some of these pils and lagers for the east in that they have a dust malt flavor. I have yet to put my finger on this, but I’m hoping to do that one day. The malt and light grain flavors are dominating throughout. Hops come through with just a bit of "herbalness", nothing to really catch one’s attention, just a bit of light mint. Quite drinkable, but nothing I would make a diet of.

Bottle, 330ml. A golden colour with a small head. A light citrus aroma. Taste has saaz hops and a touch of rice. Not a bad bohemian pilsner, but there’s much better out there. Moderate carbonation.

Bottled. A mid golden coloured beer with a short lived whitish head. The aroma is typically Saaz. Floral sweet hops and a bit of sickly malt. Taste is more of the same. A bit farty. I still don’t really get Bohemian Pilsners.

Deep golden colour with a dense off white head. Malty, grainy and fruity sweet aroma with notes of flowers. Malty, sweet flavor with a hoppy floral finish.

Pouring from a green bottled Bakalář Lager (I really wish the importers would retain the original names!), this has a deep golden body with a slender white head that soon reverts into a film. The initial aroma is a touch of skunk, but that disappears a pleasant grassy hoppiness over a sweet grainy malt. Medium-to-light bodied, it tastes of fresh bread and grain along with a touch of grassy/herbal bitterness, being a tad too soft for a Pilsener, in my opinion. Still, a quaffable lager.
