Bottle at Mondial 2009. Amber with no head. Aroma is really sweet and syrupy. Hints of cherries, nuts and prunes. Quite complex. Taste is really syrupy and nutty. It has a faint alcohol feeling at first but it grew stronger at the end. Carbonation was really faint. This is one very special beer. It really felt like a port wine. Really rich and complex.

Bottle at Mondial 2009.Amber with a thin white head. Average retention and above average lacing. Aroma is wood, cognac, alcohol, maple syrup, raisins and figs. Flavor is maple syrup, wood, cognac, hops, alcohol, dark fruits and hops. Liquorous mouthfeel. Awesome!

No head, clear cognac colour. Whisky nose, whisky malt, distilled if anything. Raisins, sweet, brandy, sultana’s, smoked malt in the finish. Syrupy, oily MF, alcoholwarming; A bit too sticky. That was to say something negative. OTOH, it is a rich, powerful brew. And it costs the earth, but I still recommend it.
