Pours deeply murky caramel dark amber with a towering platinum blonde head of suds and swiss-cheese-sized holes. Takes forever to top up the beer, you’re continuously tipping in a bit more and a bit more. Every time, there’s a storm surge in the beer and inches more spider egg-sized bubbles pile up in the head. Decent strings and webs of lace, but nothing too outlandish--still, a nice-looking beer. Nice must, bubble gum, and candi sugar nose--very faithful interpretation of a Belgian. Medium body with ultra-tight fizzy carb. Tart caramel, wood, mineral, and grass on the mid-palate. Pretty much all over the place. Minerally finish. Nice enough but hardly a world-beater. larsniclas (3386), Gothenburg, Sweden
