mj (4971), Colorado, USA Oct 18, 2009 train rating. 750ml bottle, bottle-conditioned, gushed (anticipated so it was opened over a toilet!). heavy cloudiness, dark orange/toast colored body, dirty speckled tan head. zesty and hearty honey in the nose along with some clove or similar spices. plenty of unfermented sugars left in this one - honey is heavy and dense. yeast is zesty and prickly, belgian in nature. overall and interesting and unique beer as is the M.O. with baladin, but doesn’t wow me that much. An unclear golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty combined with light notes of citrus. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and wheat, leading to a dry wheaty finish. daniele (1635), Italy Jan 1, 2009 chiara buona schiuma ma non molto persistente sentori fruttati un po erbacei media intensità il miele è un po nascosto buona bevibilità thewolf (5621), Kolding, Denmark Dec 15, 2008 Bottle. Thank you, Feldthaus. Pours hazy golden with a big, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has yeast, oranges and some sweet honey. Fin, low carbonation with light oiliness. Flavour is vinious, some yeast, light oranges. Semi-sweet maltiness with some honey character. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 9, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Fruity and lightly spicy aroma. Medium body with fruity notes. Has a violent and vulgar carbonation with huge bottles. Discreetly bitter finish. 290508 JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 29, 2008 Small yellow head, persistent over fully hazy ochre-orange beer. Sweetish, spiced, but not specificaly honey; garden herbs. Dry, fiery malts taste, less sweet, unless in the finish. Sugary, but not at all like candi sugar. Cristallized malts. Well bodied, very slick, near syrupy. Generally speaking, this beer is too sweet for my taste. But it has a strong character, and it represents more than just an ordinary, syrupy beer.
