Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Mild spiced and light caramel malt aroma. Holds a fizzy mouthfeel. Spiced and yeasty flavour, yeast seems to give a bit of smoothness to this beer. Ends with a sharp mouthfeel of spices and light alcohol warmth. joergen (8609), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Honeyed sweetness caresses nourishing cereals, as herbal ideas carefully spice up this tight and buxom strong ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam decorates the clear golden.
-Alcohol is not an issue at all in the flavor profile.
-The herbal signature is at once curious and familiar. As if Saaz grew in the Laurentian forest.
-This is not just another brewer that likes to play with strange ingredients; Baladin creations are skillfully put together and well thought out recipes.
-The finish is somewhat quiet and lightly sweet, a pleasant souvenir of part of the flavor profile.

Voluminous and adherent head of good duration. Orange clearly color with greenish and reddish reflex, nice bubbly aspect. Complex and structured aroma with notes of sweet resin, cedar and caramel. Unusual and rather skillful taste. A lot unbalanced with excessive notes of honey and resin. Bittersweet end; insufficient duration final. larsga (2969), Oslo, Norway

Soapy peppery barnyard aroma with faint honey notes. Dry-and-sweet honey and yeast taste with herbal notes. Dry metallic honeyish afteraste. Very nice. (0.75l bottle from Isola della Birra.)
