| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 30, 2006 This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind an excellent sheet lacing on top of an semi-transparent brown colored body with carbonation. The aroma was mildly vinous with brown malts in the nose. The mouth feel was mildly tingly at the start and medium in the finish. The flavor was of mild brown malts and mild hops. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Interesting spice aroma - creamy, soft, mild, malt, hops, some citrus. Decent hops in there. Nice taste - soft spice, malt, some grapefruit, and more hops than expected - very falvourful! No alcohol. Hint of herbs. Fruity. Very unique and tasty - a very solid beer and very drinkable. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2005 From 750 ml bottle at the Montreal YeHa! 2005. Dark, dark muddy brown with a thick, lasting dark head...lightly spicy nose offers anise first among many spices, dark pumpernickel-bready yeast...caramlel and licorice prominent in the very (almost too) sweet body, with notes of vanilla, nuts and cherry late...full and almost syrupy. Nice. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 26, 2005 Cola brownish with a few crimson tinges, the ring of lace was short-lived.
Quite vinious, in a very tannic, plonk red wine kind of way, with plenty of alcohol and a wheaty finish.
It just tastes like melted ice cubes, like when you thaw out something that’s been sitting in the freezer for years, it had a freezer burn flavor. Was this bottle frozen? There is a lingering rafined sugar sweetness in there, but I just found it to be watery, bland, and quite dissapointing. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
