Alcoholic malt with light orange peels. Tangy mouthfeel, with strong alcohol warmth. Medium bodied. A bit unbalanced. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Bottle. Mahogney brown color with a tan head. Flavor is thin, spicey malt taste with an acidic finish. Medium mouthfeel. Different to say the least. Not too bad I guess. Notes were getting bad at this point. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2005 Very upfront yeastiness with a sweet sour nose. Very spritzy mouthfeel. Sour and sweet mixing it up again in the flavor...with notes of caramel malt and sour yeast and some understated holiday spiciness. Cornfield (4975), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2005 Light brown with a tan head, this had a slightly sour, spicy yeasty aroma with a touch of light fruits. Light and highly carbonated in the mouth, it’s got a spiced up, sweet malt taste, yeast, with sour grapes. The finish was bitter and sour. Interesting concept for a Christmas ale.

Lively tan head. Some cereal, oatmeal and rye. A little grape more grape in the flavour. Berries. Finishes like a belgian golden ale with the malts being a little chewier. Thanks Ralph.
