Commercial Description:
Aroma initially characterized by pepper that fight in a field ruled by a rich fruity fragrance of dried fruits with ripen banana, toffee and a soft sweet chocolate fragrance. The attentive taster shouldn't miss a sharp floral of rose and a sensation of must of wine always pleasant.

Reddish brown ale with a spicey pruney aroma, with light pears and lavender. Alcoholic malt with light orange peels. Tangy mouthfeel, with strong alcohol warmth. Medium bodied. A bit unbalanced. Enjoyed at YEHa!05 Christmas Party on Dec. 17th, 2005.

Cloudy brown pour with a ring of offwhite lace. Aroma of lavender, pears and spices. The flavor is very good and has the same notes of lavender, pears and spices. The palate is light and powdery and the carbonation is moderate. Very good and enjoyable.

From 12/10/05 Indy gathering. Full dark brown with redish bronze tones and a little head. Aromas and flavors are both very similar so I elect to mention them both in the same breath. Slightly sweet and a little bit nutty. Some fruity, tangy and nutty in finish.

Bottle. Mahogney brown color with a tan head. Flavor is thin, spicey malt taste with an acidic finish. Medium mouthfeel. Different to say the least. Not too bad I guess. Notes were getting bad at this point.

Very upfront yeastiness with a sweet sour nose. Very spritzy mouthfeel. Sour and sweet mixing it up again in the flavor...with notes of caramel malt and sour yeast and some understated holiday spiciness.

Light brown with a tan head, this had a slightly sour, spicy yeasty aroma with a touch of light fruits. Light and highly carbonated in the mouth, it’s got a spiced up, sweet malt taste, yeast, with sour grapes. The finish was bitter and sour. Interesting concept for a Christmas ale.

Deep red with sediment in suspension. Nose of gooseberry, yeast and light vineous fruit. Lively tan head. Some cereal, oatmeal and rye. A little grape more grape in the flavour. Berries. Finishes like a belgian golden ale with the malts being a little chewier. Thanks Ralph.
