| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2005 Minty and herbal notes in the berry-like fruity aroma with some sweet marzipan nuttiness. Clear, very dark brown with ruby highlights and plenty of protein/yeast chunks. Decent, fine bubbled, fizzy, off white head lasts well and leaves some lace. Fruity flavour offers suggestions of liquorice, grapes, plums, berries, and wood with occasional hints of alcohol. Very dry medium body with moderate carbonation and definite alcohol warming. Bottle enjoyed with GonZoBeeR, MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere. Engelsmann (653), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Elegant dark/brown color, veiled with purple glares. Abundant and friable foam, good persistence. Racy and pinching scent also too much bitter. Much drinkable. Fresh and spiced taste, little alcoholic. Predominant bitter with herbaceous and biological rumors. Long and pleasant end, slightly dry. GonZoBeeR (2163), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2005 The Lure: Ripe fieldberries assert their presence through the bothersome yeast. Grape/plum sweetness stays behind, in case the yeast starts bullying again.
The Festivities: A luxurious mouthfeel proffers plenty of dark fruit, laced with licorice-y spices. Alcohol heat appears in the back, but only warms, which is appreciated. Yeast is thankfully accompanied by much sweet malt (cocoa, cake) and spice infusions, so isn’t as cumbersome as in the aroma. Becomes more and more of an able evening sipper once it gets closer to room temperature.
Transcendence: Throwing confetti around with no thought of cleaning up afterwards. Ernest (4501), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, fully lasting. Body is hazy dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie, chocolate, toasted grain), moderately yeasty (dough), with notes of prune, plum, cinnamon, etc. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Too much vitamin B stink in the aroma, but otherwise my favorite Baladin beer so far.
