Pours a nice hazy orange color with a foamy head. Sweet fruity aroma. Flavor of slightly tart apples, yeast, lemons and vinegar. Soda-like carbonation. Spicy finish. Not super sour, but not bad. Thanks Bill! Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours a very carbonated hazy orange with a small white head. Nose is sweet fruits, sour green apples and alcohol. Taste is light vinegar, some funk, semi sweet malt and more sour apples with some white pepper notes in the finish. Medium, very prickly mouth feel. Decent stuff. Thanks Bill! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2008 750ml from Once Upon a Vine, Richmond. Pale orange pour, cloudy and with a bit of sediment. The head is about a finger thick, still frothy even with three years on it. The nose is dry fruit, particularly citrus. In general, it comes across as a fairly fruity ale with the dry qualities of a saison and some fairly light funking from the barrel. Mild muscat, some green apple, some wood. Not bad, but not nearly as much character as I would like. golubj (1290), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2008 2005 bottle. Gold pour, fizzy. Aroma is a tad leathery, and a hint of citrus / tartness... just light overall. The flavor is light also; lightly tart and somewhat leathery. Oakes (8139), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2008 Hazy amber. 1 cm head. Looks nice. Tart, slightly peach aroma is grainy, citrusy and slightly gingery. Sweet & sour. Fairly creamy with a bready/grainy underpinning. Lemony tartness is cut by the creaminess, before it becomes bracing. Some light ginger notes. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Clear, warm orange-golden hue with thick creamy head. Aromas include ginger, lemon-lime, juniper. Gin and tonic aromas. Some sourness in the fore-nose not unlike the way sour candy smells. Not a bretty beer. Very high, spritzy carbonation. Candy-like flavors (SweetTarts) with lots of citrus, orange, lemon, lime. Tartness is all in the front and not the finish. Has a summery quality. Not a whole lot of sourness. Not a whole lot of depth either. Pleasant and refreshing but not mind-blowing. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Pours orange with a fizzy head that leaves quickly. The aroma is powdery and perfume-like with herbal traits, some light sourness and chamomile. Medium / thin ultra-crisp body with gentle biting carbontion. The flavor has the aroma traits and more perfume and herbal aspects that keep it from being as sour as I would like for it to be. But it is still enjoyable. The finish has a touch of sweetness and is very floral. Enjoyable beer, but doesn’t seem like a sour ale to me. WeeHeavySD (3041), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
