Jul 11, 2007 Bottle, 6.8%. Acidic, grapefruity hop aroma. Hazy copper colour, with small floaties. Big stable head. The flavour starts off a little sweet with some grapefruit bitterness and flavour. Turns more spicy as it warms. Yeasty aftertaste. High carbonation. Quite nice and in good balance. Thanks to Manu from Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà, Rome.

Jul 8, 2007 Sampled at RBSG ’07, pours a semi-hazy coppery/amber brew with a thin off-white head that dissolves to a fine film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of oak, powdery spice, some yeast and a touch of tart tropical fruit. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation, flavors of tart fruit, with a flowery hop aftertate. Finish is light, and slightly tart. Did not pick up any ginger or myrrh character in this beverage.

Jun 30, 2007 Updated: Apr 10, 2008RBSG07. From 75 cL bottle. Pours orange with crispy head. Nice mild sour note blended in with malt. Flavour is sour, slight spiced. Sour finish.
From tap at Bir and Fud. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Light mouldy aroma. Flavour is slight sourish with a light malt base. Ends slight sourish.5-3-4-3-9=2.4

Jun 29, 2007 RBSG 07. I am happy I got to try this without paying for it. It is good, but not for the price. Very light appearance and thin body. Light spices in the aroma. Flavor is just a little sour, minimal yeast. Overall a light saison. It is a good idea but it needs more flavor and aroma.

Jun 24, 2007 750mil Bottle from mgumby. Strong rye-like grain malt aroma with hints of ginger and myrrh. Cloudy yellow-orange color wtih small head. Sweet myrrh and lemon flavor. Light bodied. Very pleasant and exotic - a bit like a wheat beer which is probably why I like it.

Feb 24, 2007 Explodes out of bottle with a thick creamy head that takes a while to fade leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Spicey/floral nose. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is sweet and sour, hints of pepper, different from other spiced beers. Pricey, $12.40 for a 750ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.
