Aug 28, 2005 Bottle. Apricot in the aroma, for sure. Aroma doesn’t really grab you i have to say, but its pleasant. Palate is sweet, and a touch sticky. Apricot and then pepper and spices, a little bit estery in the aftertaste, with touches of banana and mandarin, and the apricot still remains. Quite good, but i was hoping for better.

Aug 11, 2005 Marcello’s Wine Market - Baton Rouge, La. - 750 ml bottle. Pours a murky light orange with absolutely no head. Aoma has a fruity quality to it - some pears, peaches and nectarines, quite pleasant. Flavor a little bit sweet and a little bit sour. Odd fruitiness to it - kind of reminds me of kiwis with a back end of sour grapes. Slighlty refreshing, reminds me somewhat of DFH Old Midas with its grape leaves things going. Mouthfeel is slightly spritzy and slighlty thick. Very decent, and odd.

Jul 15, 2005 Dense and adherent foam, optimal persistence. Orange clearly color, much torbid and hazy; discreet fizz. Spiced and sour scent, lightly spicy. Smooth and enough dry taste. Slightly prickly and drinkable. Bland, difficult alcoholic perception. Soft end with notes of exotic fruit.

Jul 13, 2005 Poured golden with a fizzy white head. Light citrusy aroma. Acidic citrusy taste to start, similar to a toned-down lambic. Eventually the beer mellows and leaves a clean, pleasant finish. Very refreshing.

Jul 11, 2005 Poured a bomber of this, Poured hazy amber, small head. Sweet and flowery aroma. Taste was weird, there wasmore alcohol in the taste the in the actual ABV.

Jun 19, 2005 Strong aroma of spice and bits of alcohol and hop. Spice, clove and fruit in the flavor. Someone said it was ’perfumy" and I’d have to agree. There is something very "fragrant" about the way this "tastes." I know that is odd, but it is still true. Very unusual. Elements of a saison and a belgian strong though much less gas. ZInteresting and pleasing to drink.

Flowery bouquet of sweet citrus and Middle Eastern desserts. White pepper, rose water, oranges form a very fruity shampoo. Very interesting, but not assertive enough for me to fall in love.
The Festivities:
Fluffy Belgian-like carbonation stabs through the orange peels, white bread crumbs and cake dough. Perfumy, enticing, but again not confident enough compared to their Super Baladin.
Transcendence:
The market’s been closed for many hours, but the day’s fragrances still hover.
