JorisPPattyn (4500), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 3, 2008 Huge ochre-amber beer with a white rim. Peanuts, cookies, bakery aroma’s... Not really sour, rather lactic with faint fruity nostes - strawberries, maybe. Very light body, but fiery end in mouthfeel, acidburn. A bit unbalanced, not clear what was intended with this beer. Nose is really strange. tronraner (1434), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle, split with NachlamSie. Pours cloudy orange with off-white head. The aroma is rotting canteloupe, some vegetal note, a pretty harsh sourness, and a slightly redeeming floral note. The flavor is melon, apple, and a bit of a sour touch. Fortunately it’s not as vegetal as the nose. Mild sweet finish. Meh. NachlamSie (1383), Tennessee, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle "thanks" to Muenster. This is a vague rating which will be followed up with a more thorough review when I can taste another bottle on a clean and sober palate. Basically, we opened up this sucker and were horrified by the smell of packing tape and vitamins. Chris and I attempted to chug the contents straight from the bottle later on after much drinking so as to not smell it. That didn’t work so well. My belches tasted like packing tape and I was getting a headache. We failed in our attempt to polish this one off.

Bottle provided by Tronraner. Okay, here we go again. Pours a cloudy copper into the tulip glass and forms a decent sized white head. The aroma = fail. Strong suggestions of packing tape and vitamins are up front with a melon backdrop. Where is the "sour"? I just can’t get over the unnatural and assertive quality of the smell. It’s killing me. The flavor is certainly better with actual detected sour hints which are mild though clean and not too bad. Unfortunately, the vitamin and rotten melon qualities are transposed onto my taste buds. Still, this stuff tastes actually mediocre, it’s the smell that is doing me in. I’d have to plug my nose to have any chance at drinking this and even at that it is a chore. The depth, complexity, and uniqueness of this beer are noticeable, however it is certainly lacking in desireable attributes. frylock (952), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 Slightly hazy orange-brown body beneath a thin white head. Funky, yeast aroma that also has notes of cheese and tropical fruits. Pleasant tartness, but no overly sour flavors. Lots of fruity citrus notes and some floral earthy flavors too. Not bad. mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 6, 2008 [1354-20080517] 750mL bottle. Sour oranges and fruit aroma. Hazy, dark orange body with medium-lasting off-white bubbles and some floaties. Sour fruity yeast flavour has a bit of old flat cola. Medium body is fairly sour. Interesting to try.
