Poured a slightly hazed amber color with an off-white head. Sweet earthy aroma with notes of not so good cheese and a light spice. Mildly sweet malt with some earthy notes. I did not care for this beer. Oh and where is the super sour part.

Bottle shared by EDA at Spuyten Duyvil. Deep amber beer with a very unusual aroma. Cognac and a herbal jagermeister-like liqueur aroma. Flavour is quite herbal and toffeeish with a light licorice character throughout. A bit of oakiness and a weird astringency as well. Neither super nor sour. Buh.

Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil - thanks to EDA for sharing - cloudy copper beer - quite a sweet aroma, with some metallic character, apparent oxidation, and flowers and burnt sugar underneath - tastes like boiled vegetables, mild sweetness, thin malts - some weird copper flavor - not sour at all, but it ends with a light acidity - not all that good.

Bottle (750mlz) shared at ’Rudolf’s May 2008 Tasting’ -- courtesy of Frylock. Pours a hazy bubbly copper-orange with a small somewhat-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma’s sour with some light funky cheese and fruit -- not bad. Flavour’s lightly sour, a tad watery and with some dark fruit and musty malt. Average bodied. I don’t know, this didn’t wow me, I found it just O.K.

Bottle, shared at the May 2008 tasting. Bottle from Frylock - Thanks! Hazy orange/brown, frothy white head. Nose is cheesy banana - very odd. Also pineapple, citrus, a hint of brown sugar. Flavor is lightly sour, lemon pith, cherries, light wood. Nice but has an odd lingering sweetness.

2008-05-17. Hazy orange amber, small beige head (3+). First aroma of sour pineapple fades leaving lightly funky yeast note. (7+) Flavour has a fruity sourness, mild malt underpinnings. Average palate. Surprisingly solid. At Rudolf’s, shared by Frylock.

Bottle at Rudy’s tasting, courtesy of frylock. Nice sour musty aroma - a little lemon in there as well. Dark rusty copper, small white head. Great taste - refreshing sour and musty malt. Perfect carbonated, with more lemon and spice in the finish. I really liked this one.
