Commercial Description:
The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn't believe that, it's the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the '800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

750ml bottle, age unknown. cloudy caramel amber colored body, some particulate matter suspended. nose is honey coated apricots, mild, floral bananas, mild peach, mild yogurt and a light note of cigarette tobacco (unsmoked, not ashy or burnt). chewy and full texture, syrupy and sweet throughout, hints of reduced honey with lemon zest and lavender, along with a pale and muted notebook paper flavor (yeast). good but not great.

19th July 2008. Cloudy brown beer. Soft light milk chocolate tone with pleasant deruity notes running alongside: peach, banana, a little melon, even some faint raspberry. More mild milk choc in the finish. Unusual.

Sample @ Coles Italian Ber Tasting. deeper golden pour. Notes of rich caramel malts, toffee, brown sugar, nutty. Floral flavors add interesting aspects. Fuller mouthfeel & nice malty richness. Nice beer

This poured a really light amber color with a white head. Aroma was funk, sour notes, spices and alcohol. Flavor was like a weak saison with a little sourness, seemed like a few different style attempts that just didnt go toegether very well. Decent but not great by any means.

Bottle. Peach, orange, malt and alcohol aroma. Dark amber color with large head. Slightly sweet peach/orange and light barley malt flavor with a moderate alcohol finish. Palate on the light side. Nice beer.

0.75 L bottle, kindly shared by Kestral. Coarse fingerthick greyish head. Hazed, deep golden body. Toffee and nutty malts on the nose. Sweet-flavored and malty, almost sugery. Some yeast notes and touch of tinned fruits and pepper. Medium body strengt. Both sparkling and kind of sticky in the mouth. Sweet malty ending. A sweetheart, but not the most exciting one.

Sampled at the ’09 RBPTE, courtesy of mtoast. Breaded toasty aroma with light yeasty character, some alcohol and notes of cherry. Dark amber cloudy, slightly murky, with a small frothy off-white head. Medium thin body with average carbonation and a chalky finish. Moderate sweetness with quite a kick of acidity in there, too. Lactic sourness, woody and a bit rubbery. Tinge of sour milk.

It poured a hazy, dirty golden liquid with a small foam that left no lacing. It did however leave a ton of yeast floating around in the glass. It smelled of yeast and bread. It had a smooth mouthfeel and a taste of yeast, bread, sweet, fruit and candy. Unfortunately a bit watery. A decent beer but not really worth the high price.
