WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 29, 2007 Gorgeous cloudy orange with a good white head. Heavy enough to leave some lacing. Nose of yoghurt and cider, definitely some lactic fermentation here. Mouth was just a little flat and heavy, with a tendency towards syrup. Taste sour cider, bread and yeast, deeper overall tone than the lighter Belgian tripel that I was expecting. A good Belgian Strong. Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Mar 27, 2007 Updated: Jul 1, 2007750 ml bottle. an unclear pale amber beer with a fine medium large head. The aroma is flowery and fruity (banana). The flavour is not overly sweet and has a nice hop touch in the finish. Also a very drinkable beer. Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Mar 17, 2007 Cloudy dark-orange body topped by a little white ring. INFECTION. Drain pour. Some sour/acidity notes on the nose and in the taste. The oily vinegary salad dressing flavour crushes the underlying fruity notes. I got a bad bottle (bought at Half Time NY). Will retry and re-rate if offered a sample. What I could make up of it despite the infected taste didn’t seem interesting enough to justify buying another bottle. Crapper du Baladin. Tmoney99 (4660), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Feb 2, 2007 Bottle. Poured hazy amber/orange color with a large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate spicy fruity malty aroma. Light to medium body with a slick texture. Medium balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable complex beer. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Jan 16, 2007 Pours an orange amber color and the semll is very reminiscent of a Belgian triple. Very nice citrus. Tastes of sweet fruit. I really liked this one. Second time I’ve had it. We just got it back in the store today actually at Knightly Spirits in Orlando. Naven (864), Poway, California, USA Dec 31, 2006 Bottle: Pours a light orange/amber color. Smell is belgian yeasts mixed with fruit and spices. Flavor is reminiscent of many belgian tripels. I didnt detect any sourness as others have mentioned, so if brett is present, is very faint. Overall, not a bad beer. thornecb (1736), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Dec 1, 2006 Pours bright amber into a trappist glass. Off-white mixed head quickly subsides with slight lacing. Sour cherry and brett aromas. Smooth with sticky sour pit fruits and anise. Lasting dry spiked fruit finish. thebeertourist (2751), Oslo, Norway Nov 4, 2006 75 cl bottle. Dark orangey-amber, some haziness, medium-sized offwhite head. Fruity aroma, a bit sour. Sour fruit flavours, alcoholic, doughy, Christmas pudding flavours. Full body, almost crunchy, warming alcohol. A nice winter warmer from Italy.
