corby112 (671), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy amber color with foamy white head. Nice fuit aroma of apple, pear and citrus. Very crisp belgian style ale. Lots of crisp fruit notes such as aple and pear as well as a slight sour taste. wondrtim (19), Lakewood, Washington, USA Feb 5, 2008 cloudy color with nice white head that seems to stick around. smell of some fruity or apple notes. kinda cisery. actually has a cider bite to the taste. This is a pretty good sour beer. I’d recommend this bottle to anybody going to some sort of gathering or party! JCB (1713), Durham, North Carolina, USA Feb 2, 2008 750 from The Good Beer Store, Chapel Hill (RIP). A more bright and hoppy rendition of a Belgian sour. It’s got a very crisp body, a nice sour apple nose, and some light tropical fruits in the taste. Not quite complex or funky enough to compare well with classic Belgians or with master Americans like RR or JP, but it’s damn solid. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 30, 2008 Updated: Jun 4, 2008Bottle. Definitely intrigued to try this Italian take on a Belgian beer. Pours a dull ruby color, with a quickly fading white head with no lacing to speak of. Aroma is nice: sweet, bright gorgeous apples, hay, slight funk, caramel, chocolate, pineapple. Flavor is molasses, soft malts, cider, banana, cloves. Soft, watery, easy-going and drinkable. Feels like a saison to me, and should be enjoyed as such. A me pare di sì. Grande birra la Super. Una birra super. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Jan 2, 2008 Bottled.
Dark, hazy amber/orange colour with diminishing head. Fresh malty aroma with citric notes and bit of apricot. Very much Belgian without being that yeasty. Smooth and malty in flavour, with caramelly backbone. Very clean flavour profile. Belgian alright but without that bold character from yeast or spiciness. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 1, 2008 From a good looking bottle purchased at Belmont Station in PDX, OR--Poured a very very hazy orange-copper body with an initially big but quickly dissipated head. Well carbonated body with a thin vinous mildly floral nose. Citrusy and yeasty. Quite mild; alcohol is well masked. Very nice beer to open for New Years Eve! bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Dec 24, 2007 Bottle. Fruity and floral aromas, along with a bit of caramel. Color is sort of apricot and the white head stayed awhile, though it did not lace. Full bodied with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Starts a little citric sour, some light stone fruits, touch of funk. The finish is dry, nigh astringent, with some citrus and a moderate amount of hop bitter. Leaves my mouth rather tingly. It just gets better as time proceeds.
