Commercial Description:
The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn't believe that, it's the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the '800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

75 cl bottle. Dark orangey-amber, some haziness, medium-sized offwhite head. Fruity aroma, a bit sour. Sour fruit flavours, alcoholic, doughy, Christmas pudding flavours. Full body, almost crunchy, warming alcohol. A nice winter warmer from Italy.

A really interesting beer, worth trying. Had the special opportunity to try this in Venice, as I stumbled upon a little cheese/meat shop that happened to have a few bottles on hand. Expensive but so is everything in Venice. Found the "Super" to be special indeed. Quite mild, as if the alcohol content was several percentage points below what it was. Farmhouse taste that imparts an artisan character: not an imitation of any Belgian brew I know. In a country ruled by wine, this is a fine addition to the Italian array of beverages.

Orangey copper, with a hooj white head. Citrusy aroma - lemon lime, orange, etc . Nice flavor wheaty, with a surprising but definate note of strawberry. Other fuity notes play in, as well - apple, apricot, and melon. Crisp, dry finish. Very tasty. Purchased at McScrooges, Knoxville ($12.99)

750ml Bottle: Aroma of biscuit, bread, malts, light yeast, and a hint of fruit. Poured orange/amber in color with a small, off-white/oatmeal head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of a zillion small particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malts, toasting, dough, yeast, slight hops and a hint of caramel. Very raw-dough like. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, yeast, and dough finish. 8%ABV is totally hidden.

The aroma has lots of yeast with caramel malt and fruit. The appearance is hazy amber with a large head. The flavor has all the elements from the aroma plus toffee and bitterness. The palate is thin. This is a mixed bag but I like it pretty good.

Pours a murky deep orange with a white head that falls to a film. A sour fruit aroma. The flavor is slightly tart. Sweet malts upfront with a fruity sourness of cherries & pears on the palate and a late raisiny finish. Refreshing and balanced.

A cloudy orange beer with a foamy tan head. Peach, pear and citrus in the rather tart aroma, tones of infection?! Sharp flavor, fruit and orange and a foamy mouthfull. Doesn’t taste quite right.

Appearance: Pours a clear, medium amber body with a white head. Smell: Sweet pale malt aroma with a vague fruitiness (figs, maybe) to it and light yeasty notes. Taste: A light malt sweetness is instantly stolen away by a dry, funky sourness and the flavor of musty apple juice. Hints of a light spiced red wine. Quick, thin finish. Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Moderately carbonated. Slightly watery. Drinkability: The flavors run a bit too thin for me. I preferred the Wayan to this one.
