Commercial Description:
The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn't believe that, it's the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the '800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

Bottle. Orange body with a lots of chunky floaties and a small white creamy head. Interestingly enough there was some orange hop character in the aroma along with bready yeast and metal. Quite sweet flavour with fruitiness in the form of pears and some tart apples. Bready alcohol is apparent also. Pretty good overall.

0.75 L bottle, kindly shared by Kestral. Coarse fingerthick greyish head. Hazed, deep golden body. Toffee and nutty malts on the nose. Sweet-flavored and malty, almost sugery. Some yeast notes and touch of tinned fruits and pepper. Medium body strengt. Both sparkling and kind of sticky in the mouth. Sweet malty ending. A sweetheart, but not the most exciting one.

Speckled glowing peach. Sticky, creamy, semi-rocky, dusty-white head. Medicine, rich honey, and soft phenols in the aroma with hints of vanilla, dates, plummy/buttery malts and spicy herbs. It’s also lightly vinous and musty and packing just enough fruity esters to deflect the elegant caramel and cream notes. Soft body. Firm, tiny-bubbled carbonation. Starts maltly sweet with light herbal qualities trying to penetrate the rich, maris otter-like malts. Very bright. Mild phenols, anise, and juicy herbal hops poke through, cushioning the fluffy malt sweetness. Ends with melted toffee atop a leafy edge and luscious blanket of malts. Lingers with lipsmacking malts and figs drizzled with honey and vanilla. Gentle noble hop burps. Sensational brew.

From a good looking bottle purchased at Belmont Station in PDX, OR--Poured a very very hazy orange-copper body with an initially big but quickly dissipated head. Well carbonated body with a thin vinous mildly floral nose. Citrusy and yeasty. Quite mild; alcohol is well masked. Very nice beer to open for New Years Eve!

luminous orange in light's presence but remaining dull amber in the shade..it always held a firm layer of frothy bliss..musty dried fruits foxtrot in the air as the apricots come alive...a comfy pillow of creaminess awaits as it emits fruity flavors that just hint of being lightly spiced...drinkable beyond words..italian? hmmm...chewy fruitiness makes this a seeker-outer! No doubt.

The color was a some what cloudy orange or very lite amberish, you choose.Lots of particulate yeast throughout this brew.Nice head that had a pretty decent staying power. The aroma was very fruity, mild hints of nuttiness and spicey. The flavor was even better, fruity and spicey with a mild malt to it the alcohol wasn't real strong but you did notice it and certain points of the palate, and the after taste was malty and mildly spicey with a fruity hint to it.This is quite a brew and quite exspensive at 15 bucks a bottle, but it seems like a worth while deal for such a well done beer.

Hazy amber, off white thin creamy head. Nose on this held hints of fuzzy fruits, golden raisin, spices, pear, and grains, with lighter tones of cooked apple. Flavor was fruity, lightly sweetened, with a decent hop bitterness rounding it out. Full bodied, light carbonation, spiced pear and raisin finish. Nice, but nothing phenomenal...

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge whitish head and an intense pillar of bubbles from the bottom of the glass. The aroma has quite a bit of tangerine, some raisin, a little bit of bread, and some faint earthy alcohol. The flavor is quite well balanced, with some cookies, flowers, zest, honeycomb, and maybe a bit of cedar. The finish is quite subtle, including sugar, raw flowers, and an earthiness that holds over into the aftertaste. While far from the best constructed of this style, this is very very drinkable.
