Commercial Description:
The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn't believe that, it's the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the '800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

Bottle:
Pours orange with loads of sediments and a thick and lacing head. Not much going on in the sweet-ish aroma. Flavour is sweet with spicy notes of orange and maybe some liquorice. Dry-ish alcohol finish.

750 from The Good Beer Store, Chapel Hill (RIP). A more bright and hoppy rendition of a Belgian sour. It’s got a very crisp body, a nice sour apple nose, and some light tropical fruits in the taste. Not quite complex or funky enough to compare well with classic Belgians or with master Americans like RR or JP, but it’s damn solid.

Its hard for me to really recommend this one strongly because the initial start of the best taste like industrial plastic. However this flavor dissipates and gives a sweet, malty taste with toffee like flavors.

Bottle. Murky orange, little carbonation. Head is diminshing. Aroma is vinous, dry. Taste is light floral fruitiness. Slight oxidation. Sweet peach. Balanced ethanol. Finish is dry, alcoholic. Coating texture. Decent stuff.

Hazy light amber colour with some fizzy foam. Nice complex aroma of flower, banana and some clove spice. Flavour was rich with some nut flavour, spice, citrus fruit and a little bitterness at the end.

Pour this slowly, you can get a serious head - stays but doesn't leave much lace. Nose is hazelnut and color is a cloudy amber. Serious amount of chunky bits that settle to the bottom - they do not detract from the excellent flavor. Just a slight hint of yeast. Good mix of malts and hops but the malts dominate. A 750ml bottle is $13.95.
